The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Strategic Preparedness & Response (ASPR), Biomedical Advanced Research & Development Authority (BARDA) has awarded Concordant a contract to provide Cost Reimbursement Contract Training to Contracting Officers (COs) and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) at BARDA. Concordant will furnish all necessary services, qualified personnel, material, and equipment to perform the virtual training to an estimated 30 attendees. Concordant’s training is instructor led, with the instructor connecting with the class attendees virtually, using presentation materials that highlight applicable teaching objectives and important information. A student exercise handbook and references are also provided, along with completion certificates that provide Continuous Learning Points (CLP) for attending the course. Acquisition Professionals need CLPs to maintain certification in order to keep current with Federal Acquisition Regulation changes, as part of professional development and to improve their job performance, and to keep in compliance with mandatory training and education requirements.
The course will be taught by our lead Acquisition instructor, Dr. William Buchleitner, who supplements the training material with FAR information, anecdotes, examples, case-study discussion. Emphasis of important FAR requirements specific to the HHS are imparted to the attendees. All of Concordant’s training is Section 508 compliant, so if any attendee needs live captions of the spoken teaching, they are made available along with transcripts.
