Federal acquisition, end to end
Acquisition processes can be slow, rule-bound, and unforgiving. A weak requirement, a thin market research file, or an evaluation that will not hold up can stall a program or incite a protest. Concordant supports the whole acquisition lifecycle, from the first requirement to contract closeout, and brings a repeatable way to manage the risks. Our Acquisition Risk Management (ARM) method reduces procurement risk and keeps vendor performance on track, so awards stand up to protests and contracts deliver.

Why work with Concordant
Concordant provides cradle-to-grave acquisition support to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, embedding experienced Acquisition Utilization Specialists (AUSs) across multiple Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Offices and the Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) to help acquire the products and services that support America's Veterans. Working alongside Contracting Officers and program offices, our acquisition professionals support every phase of the acquisition lifecycle, from acquisition planning, market research, and requirements development through solicitation support, contract administration, modifications, and closeout. Beyond executing the work, Concordant continuously improved acquisition operations by introducing proactive reporting that gave VA leadership visibility into staffing risks weeks earlier than required, accelerating workforce continuity, and developing acquisition documentation so effective that one of our Statements of Work was adopted as the benchmark for procurements across an entire Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN).

Frequently Asked Questions
The common questions about federal acquisition support, answered in one place.
What is federal acquisition support?
We assist the government through the acquisition process the right way, from defining requirements through awarding and administering the contract. It covers requirements, market research, cost estimates, source selection, and contract administration. We can take one piece of it or the whole lifecycle.
What is source selection support?
Source selection support helps the Government conduct a fair, well-documented, and defensible evaluation of proposals. Concordant assists with developing evaluation criteria, advising technical evaluation teams on the evaluation process, performing cost and price analyses, documenting evaluation results, and preparing the records needed to support the Government's source selection decision and withstand audits or protests.
What is contract administration?
Managing a contract after award so the government gets what it paid for: tracking performance, processing modifications, handling invoices and task orders, and closing the contract out. We do this work and automate the parts that slow your team down.
What is market research in federal acquisition?
Understanding what the market can actually provide before you buy, so the requirement is realistic and the competition is real. It's a required step, and a thin market research file is a common reason an acquisition gets challenged.
What is the FAR?
The Federal Acquisition Regulation, the rulebook for how the federal government buys goods and services. Agencies add their own supplements (for the Department of Defense, that's the DFARS). Our work is built around it.
How do you reduce protest risk?
By making the acquisition defensible from the start: a clear requirement, a solid market research and cost basis, an evaluation that follows the rules, and a record captured as the work happens. That's the core of our Acquisition Risk Management (ARM) method.
Do you train acquisition teams?
Yes. We train the federal acquisition workforce (contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, contract specialists, and more) and help them keep their Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) current. See our Training page for the full program.
Can you facilitate a working group or summit?
Yes. When a decision needs many stakeholders to agree, we provide an objective, expert facilitator, from a single agency's policy session to an international, inter-agency summit.
